Rural Crime Incidents
Rural Crime Incidents - Please Be Aware - Take Action
Over the course of the 4th / 5th April, a Quad bike was stolen from Inion Farm, Oban and an attempt to overcome security was made at Achnacreemore Farm, Ledaig.
The theft of ATV's is trending across the nation and as such Police Scotland advise all owners of said vehicles take relevant action to fully secure sheds, outbuildings as appropriate and generally provide obstacles to such thefts.
Caesar marking should also be considered to allow tracking of any vehicles stolen. This also has the added benefit of reduced insurance via the NFU due to the higher chance of recovery if stolen.
Please, if you have any neighbours in the farming fraternity who are not signed up to these alerts, encourage them to do so and make them aware of this information.
Any information on the above incidents to Oban Police Office via 101.
