Hello everyone and welcome to those who have asked to join us at the Strone Growers.

For your awareness at our next meeting we have a short presentation from our local Geology expert Gordon Holmes on the local geology and reasons why some of us have sand and some of us have dense clay in our gardens.  Gordon kindly agreed to do this for us after some members raised questions a couple of meetings ago that none present had the knowledge to answer.

Gordon is happy to take questions too and his presentation will support us having a chat about how to cope with the different types of soil each of us have.

As always anyone who has spare seeds, seedlings or plants from cuttings etc are welcome to bring them along for swapping with others.
